The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Zoe Spielman as the March Student of the Month.  She is a senior at Carlisle High School and is the daughter of Corinne Miller of Carlisle and Michael Spielman of Orrtanna. She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.  Zoe is ranked eighth in her class and is a member of the National Honor Society, Science Fair and Environmental Club. She also is the goalie and the Field Hockey team.  Zoe is a volunteer firefighter, a Girl Scout and a member of the First United Church of Christ hand bell choir. Shealso volunteers for various service projects, fire department fundraisers and Girl Scout projects. Zoe plans to attend the University of Florida to major in soil and water science to pursue a career in waterway management or wildfire prevention and management The Carlisle Rotary Club honors extraordinary students each month from Big Spring, South Middleton, and Carlisle School Districts.  For more information on Rotary and its’ mission, please ask any Rotary member or visit us @ carlislerotary.org.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Andrew Johnston-Walsh as the February Student of the Month.  He is a senior at Boiling Springs High School and is the son of Lucy and Bill Johnston-Walsh of Carlisle. He received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.
Andrew is a four year member of the Student Council and four year Class President.  He is also chairman of the "Mini-THON and an Interact club member, both for the last four years. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. He has played on the varsity basketball team, and track team for the last four years and on the Cross Country team his senior year.     Andrew is a member of the Perfect Peers club and has served as a Special Olympics volunteer for four years. He has interned at the Cumberland County Courthouse serving the President Judge last summer and has volunteered at his church serving on three mission trips to Honduras, building homes. He is also a Camp PALS volunteer.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Hannah Hess as the March Student of the Month.  She is a senior at Big Spring High School. She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.  Hannah is at the top of her class and is a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Social Studies Honor Society. She has participated in the Technology Student Association, which promotes student leadership in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math, winning numerous awards for her projects. She is also a member of her Student Council and chairs the Mini-THON, Homecoming Kids Committee and is a member of the Dance Team. She has also participated in the PULSE Medical Exploration program at Penn State College of Medicine, Westshore Chamber of Commerce Junior Leadership Program and the State Police South Central Camp Cadet program
    Hannah has performed countless hours of community service serving as Chemistry Camp Counselor, Four Diamonds fundraisers, Special Olympics, STEM Summit, Chemistry Tutor and acting in film productions and musical theater.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Adam Jackson as the December Student of the Month.  He is a senior at Carlisle High School and is the son of Virginia and David Jackson of Carlisle. He received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.  Adam ranks in the top ten percent of his class, is a four year member of the Student Council and a member of the Model United Nations club. He has played on the varsity soccer team for the last four years and served as team captain in his senior year. He has also played club soccer for four years and served as a volunteer in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.  He plans on attending college and hopes to attend Brown University this fall.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Skylar Diehl as the November Student of the Month.  She is  a senior at Big Spring High School. She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.  Skylar is a member of the National Honor Society, Club Aduro, Vice President of the Mock Trial Team and Vice President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She is also a member of the Marching Band, Concert Band, Pit Band and the CCMEA County and PMEA District Band. She has participated in the Macy's Great American Marching Band Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2016 & 2017 and will be participating in the Cavalcade of Bands Tournament of Roses Honor Band in New Year's Day Rose Parade this year.  She is active in her church's Youth Group and has interned with the Yellow Breeches Middle School Band assisting with teaching and administrative duties. The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Adam Diech as the October Student of the Month.  He is  a senior at Boiling Springs High School and his parents are Craig and Kristen Diech of Carlisle. He received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.  Adam is a member of  the Math Honors Society, Vice President of the National Honor Society and President of the Chemistry Club. He is a Quiz Bowl team member and Debate team member. He is also a member of UNICEF, a member of the PA Friends of Jazz Youth Band, a tenor sax player in the marching band, first tenor in the Jazz band and plays the bass clarinet in the Concert Band He has spent the last two summers as an intern at Harrisburg University, designing a new course and at Princeton University performing computer and neuroscience research. The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Grace Colestock as the September Student of the Month.  She is  a senior at Carlisle High School and her parents are Keith and Amy Colestock of Carlisle. She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.  Grace is a member of the National Honor Society, a member of Class Council and a Big Brother, Big Sister Volunteer.
