February brought another great line-up of speakers. On Thursday February 22, we welcomed Carmen James who brought us up to date about the Mount Tabor Church Project. She showed us the amazing transformation the church has gone through over the last couple years with the help of wonderful community groups, local leaders, students, neighbors, and friends. It is truly a project that has bridged and united many people in our community who have given not only their time, money, and work energy but also their love, care, and appreciation for each other.

Also at that meeting, Yvette Davis brought in the Centering the African American Quilt on loan from Dauphin County. She told some of the stories of the panels in this beautiful 6'x6' quilt capturing African American history,

The following week we had a presentation by Dr. Ski, President of Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) about his Underground Railroad Bike Tour.

We have another great line-up for March (see the section below for our upcoming programs). Better yet, come join us this Thursday at noon, Comfort Suites. Except for March 28 when we'll meet at Allison Hall on Dickinson College Campus.
