Student of the Month

Congratulations to our student of the month!
 
 
      The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Grace Echevarria as the March Student of the Month.  She is  a senior at Carlisle High School and the daughter of Laurie and Mike Echevarria of Carlisle.  She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.
 
      Grace is a member of Student Class Council since her sophomore year and currently serves as Secretary.   She is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and the  French National Honor Society, serving as President this year. She is also a member of the Model UN, a Peer Tutor at the High School Writing Center, an Elementary School Tutor and participates in the annual Mini THON fundraiser to combat cancer.
 
      Grace is a member of the High School Tennis team and a Big Brother/Big Sister since 2013. She serves on the Cumberland/Perry Drug & Alcohol Commission Youth Advisory Board & Leadership Team and is a member of the Substance Abuse and Prevention Coalition. She is active in the United Way Leadership Council, the Salvation Army, Project Share and the Relay for Life. She also participated in the Rotary Youth Leadership Conference at Messiah College. Miss Echevarria will be continuing her studies at The United States Military Academy at West Point.
