The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Aaron Lynch (pictured) as the May Student of the Month. He is the son of Timothy and Heidi Lynch and a senior at Boiling Springs High School. 

Aaron participates in numerous school activities. He is a SADD officer, secretary of the Technology Student Association, Vice President of the debate team, senior member of the quiz bowl team, and was the lead actor in the school musical. He is also a religious education leader through the EDGE organization, and Eagle Scout and completed his Eagle Scout project for the Carlisle Area Family Life Center.

In Aaron's spare time he enjoys playing and making video games, reading, and swing dancing. He plans to attend Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. The Rotary Club of Carlisle congratulates Aaron on all of his achievements and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

he Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Chris Fowler (pictured with his parents) as the April Student of the Month. He is the son of Chris and Mary Beth Fowler of Carlisle and a senior at Carlisle High School. Chris received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.
Chris is a member of the Carlisle Lacrosse team. Chris will be attending West Point upon graduation. The Rotary Club of Carlisle congratulates Chris on all of his achievements and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Colby Ott as it's March Student of the Month. Colby is an outstanding student, a quiet leader and a sharp witted young man. His leadership in the Student Council and National Honor Society has allowed him to spearhead community service projects, school initiatives and develop his voice as a leader among his peers. Colby is currently ranked 1st in his class and earned this prestigious ranking through endless hours of hard work and dedication. His passion is science. 
Colby will attend Shippensburg University in the fall with a major in Chemistry. His future plans include becoming a Forensic Toxicologist and working in law enforcement.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Andrea Corliss (pictured) as the February Student of the Month.  She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Wendy Corliss of Boiling Springs and a senior at Boiling Springs High School.  Andrea received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community. 

Her activities include HOBY and school internships. Andrea is the Student Council President and the Homecoming Queen.  She has logged over 200 volunteer hours this school year at the food bank, nursing homes, and various other locations.  She also attended HOBY Leadership.  In Andrea’s free time she works part-time and loves spending time with her family and friends. 

Andrea plans to attend college in the fall and major in nursing.  The Rotary Club of Carlisle congratulates Andrea on all of her achievements and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Joshua Foster as the January Student of the Month. He is a senior at Big Spring High School. Joshua received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.

He is a member of the National Honor Society and involved in the Boy Scouts of America. Josh has spent countless hours of his personal time dedicated to helping others and community service . After graduation he is hoping to attend Swarthmore College as well as continue his community service through the City Year, working with inner city elementary students in Philadelphia.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Katie Webber (pictured) as the November Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Bill and Lisa Webber of Boiling Springs and a senior at Boiling Springs High School. Katie received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.
 
Katie is Class President, Vice President of French Club, a member of National Honor Society, National French Honor Society, Secretary of National Math Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America member, and Birthday Club President. Katie volunteers for Special Olympics and Life Skills Prom. Katie was also the captain of the Field Hockey team for two years and a two time PIAA District Champ in swimming.  In her free time Katie enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
 
Katie plans to attend Georgetown University or New York University in the fall where she will major in International Economics. The Rotary Club of Carlisle congratulates Katie on all of her achievements and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Patrick Kennaly, Student of the Month for October from Carlisle H.S.

Patrick is the son of David and Lynn Kennaly, Carlisle PA. He is 3rd in his class, carrying AP and Honors Courses. He is an Eagle Scout, and his teachers describe him as a role model for Citizenship. He plans to study History and German at the collegiate level.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Wade Reichelderfer, Student of the Month for September from Big Spring H.S.

Wade is the son of Keith and Kathleen Reichelderfer, Shippensburg PA. Along with participating in three sports at Big Spring, he is 4th in his class, a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council and the Student Representative on the School Board. After graduation he wants to study business administration at the collegiate level.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Austin Mast (pictured) as the May Student of the Month. He is the son of Robert and Valerie Mast and a senior at Boiling Springs High School. 

Austin participates in numerous school activities including the Golf Team, Cross Country, Concert Choir, Youth Alive Club, and the Interact Club. He is also a Student Leader at Christ Community Church.

In Austin’s spare time he enjoys running, biking, building and flying model airplanes as a member of the Carlisle Aeromodelers Club and spending time with family and friends. He plans to attend Cedarville University to study Mechanical Engineering. he Carlisle Rotary Club recently honored Aaron Kerr as the April Student of the Month. Aaron is the son of Angie and Ron Shellenberger of Mt. Holly Springs and a senior at Carlisle High School. Aaron received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership and service to both his school and community.

After graduation hopes to pursue a career in the culinary arts and will be attending Harrisburg Area Community College.

The Carlisle Rotary Club recently honored Clayton McKee, a senior at Big Spring High School, as the March Student of the Month. Clayton is the son of Leonard and Becky McKee of Newville.
 
Clayton received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership and service to both his school and community.
 
He is very involved in music, playing in the marching band, the pit band and the jazz band at Big Spring, and is a member of a community orchestra in Harrisburg. He is currently in the top fifth of his class and hopes to major in Foreign Language and Law in college.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Meredith Speakman (pictured) as the February Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Thomas and Carole Speakman of Boiling Springs and a senior at Boiling Springs High School. Meredith received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership and service to both her school and community.
 
Meredith participates in cross country, track and field, band and student council. She is involved in many community activities as well which include volunteering at Project Share and the Salvation Army and being part of the Chaplaincy program at Penn National Race Course.
 
In Meredith’s spare time she enjoys being outdoors, running, and spending time with family and friends. She plans to attend Syracuse University in the fall where she will run cross country and track while majoring in Marketing and Advertising. The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Caroline Winn (pictured) as the January Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Steve and Dr. Lauren Winn of Carlisle and a senior at Carlisle High School. Caroline received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership and service to both her school and community.
Caroline is a member of three honor societies: National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society and the National Art Society. She takes a heavy course load that includes many Advanced Placement classes.
 
She recites poetry and played the role of Lady McBeth in the high school play. She also plays the piano, is a member of her church bell choir and is a member of the Prom planning committee. The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Kelsey Hurley (pictured) as the December Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Steve and Susan Hurley of Newville and a senior at Big Spring High School. Kelsey received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership and service to both her school and community.
 
Kelsey currently serves as the President of the Club Care and is a part time dance instructor with B.A.D. girls dance studio. She is an entrepreneur, having become an Avon representative some four years ago. She also served in the planning of the annual Mini-thon, which raised over $40,000 last year.
 
Kelsey is serving as an intern with a local pre-school, teaching Spanish language and customs. She plans to attend college and study international business. She is the daughter of Michael and Stacey Progar of Gardners and a senior at Boiling Springs High School. Abbigal received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community. Her numerous activities include Yearbook and SADD clubs. She is involved in many community activities such as the United Way Student Leadership Council and various church worship committees.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Shannon McCarthy as the October Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Karen Polensky and John McCarthy of Carlisle and a senior at Carlisle High School. Shannon's scholastic achievements and outstanding leadership have earned her this recognition.
She has a passionate interest in music theater and choral performance. Shannon is ranked second in her class amid a heavy workload of honors courses. She plans to continue her education at the college level.

She currently serves as the V.P. of the Student Council and as a student representative on the Big Spring School Board of Directors. She is a varsity letter winner in swimming, diving and track, and works part-time as a lifeguard.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Ellie Stuart (pictured) as the April Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Jerome and Sandra Stuart of Carlisle and a senior at Carlisle High School. Ellie received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.
 
Her numerous activities include National Honor Society, Crossroads Club, Titanic Musical Orchestra, and the Marching Band Mallet Percussion Section which she was leader of this past fall. She is involved in many community activities through her church, First United Methodist and the Bosler Library. In her downtime she enjoys music, especially playing the piano, and photography.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Olivia Brandt (pictured) as the March Student of the Month. She is a senior at Big Spring High School and the daughter of Ms. Karen Brandt and Mr. Jay Brandt of Newville.
 
Miss Brandt is a member of the National Honor Society, varsity field hockey team and the manager of the wrestling team. She also tutors elementary school students. She plans to attend either James Madison University or Penn State University to continue her studies to pursue a career as a physician assistant.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Timothy Loney (pictured) as the January Student of the Month. He is the son of Tim and Nancy Loney and a senior at Carlisle High School.
 
Timothy is co-captain of the Varsity Wrestling Team, plays the Bari Saxophone in the Symphonic Band, is a member of the National Honor Society, participates in Keystone Boys' State, and attended the U. S. Military Academy's Summer Leadership Seminar. He is also an Eagle Scout, Adult Leader of Boy Scout Troop 173 and is a Mary Queen of Peace usher.
 
In Timothy's spare time he enjoys traveling, grappling, wrestling, weightlifting and science. He plans to attend either the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and has been accepted there or the University of Notre Dame as an ROTC cadet. He then plans to attend medical school to become an Army surgeon. The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Rachel Fishman (pictured) as the October Student of the Month.  She is the daughter of Steve and Nancy Fishman of Carlisle and a senior at Carlisle High School.  Rachel’s scholastic achievements and outstanding leadership have earned her this recognition.

Her numerous activities include National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Interact Club, Tutoring, Model U. N., and Class Council.  She is a part of many community activities through the Interact Club and volunteers at Project Share.  Internships through the United Way and the Red Cross Youth Council have kept Rachel very busy.  Rachel enjoys writing, photography, and taking piano lessons.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Dru Kepner(pictured) as the October Student of the Month.  She is the daughter of Dwayne and Deb Kepner, Carlisle PA and a senior at Big Spring High School.  Dru received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community. 

Her numerous activities include  participation in various musical groups and she has been on the varsity basketball team since she was a freshman.  She is in the top ten percent of her classand is active in her church youth group and praise choir.  Dru will be attending Messiah College after graduation to study music education.  The Rotary Club of Carlisle congratulates Dru on all of her achievements and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Brooke Strayer(pictured) as the May Student of the Month.  She is the daughter of Paul and Laurie Strayer of Boiling Springs and a senior at Boiling Springs High School.  Brooke received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.

Her numerous activities include Interact Club, SADD Club, Student Council, Band, Amnesty International, Spanish Club and she is the Wrestling Manager.  She is involved in many community activities through the Interact Club.  She has completed mission trips to Haiti, worked at the Soup Kitchen and participated in Compassion in Action.  When she has a free moment, Brooke enjoys collecting old coins, outdoor activities, and reading.

Brooke plans to attend college in the fall and major in Secondary History Education with a Minor in Teaching English as a Second Language.  The Rotary Club of Carlisle congratulates Brooke on all of her achievements and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

The Carlisle Rotary Club recently honored Kendra Bitner as the March Student of the Month.  Kendra was presented with a certificate and a check for $75.00.  She is the daughter of  Karen and Paul Bitner, of Newville. 
 
As a senior at Big Spring High School, Kendra is  ranked second in her class. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Vice President of her Class, Student Council member, Honors Choir and participates in two sports.
 
In addition to these school activities, Kendra has received the Citizenship Award and works as a lifeguard. After graduation, she will be attending Lycoming College and plans to major in corporate communications.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored KaRon Spriggs-Bethea as the January Student of the Month. He is a senior at Carlisle High School and has been class president for the last three years. KaRon received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.

His numerous activities include prom committee, homecoming activities, and senior class trip to New York City. His enthusiasm and compassion are two of his fine character qualities.  He has spearheaded a successful school-wide blood drive and raised money to purchase gifts for a family in need during the holiday season. 
 
KaRon’s leadership abilities were recognized with his selection by the faculty to attend Keystone Boys State last summer.  He has volunteered at Bosler Library and has tutored students at Mooreland Elementary School.

He is an honor roll student balancing his studies and school activities with a part-time job at Wendy’s.  KaRon plans to major in political science with the goal of becoming a lawyer.
