The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Gloria Kim as the December Student of the Month.  She is  a senior at Carlilse High School and the daughter of Su and Nan Kim of Carlisle.  She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.
Gloria  a member of the National Honor Society, the Art Service Club, and the Graphic Novel Club. She is also member of the First Generation College Club and a member of the tennis team. She volunteers for the Empty Bowl Program, Project Share and at a local kennel. Her interests include drawing and videos.  She plans to attend a four year college to study food science.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Liam Aro as the November Student of the Month.  He is  a senior at Boiling Springs High School and the son of Jeff and Jennifer Aro of Boiling Springs.  He received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.
Liam  a member of the French National Honor Society, the French Club, and the Interact Club. He is a member of the Yearbook staff, the Prom committee and the Link Crew. He is also a member of the Cross Country team and the Track and Field team. His interests include technology, music and math and he plans to attend a four year college to continue his studies.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Elizabeth Fry as the October Student of the Month.  She is  a senior at Big Spring High School and the daughter of Richard and Kelly Fry of Newville.  She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.
Elizabeth serves as President of her Class, a member of the National Honor Society and the Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta).  She has taken advanced placement and honors classes throughout high school and is ranked in the top 5% of her class. She is a member of the Community Awareness Responsibility Experience Club, which plans and runs community events to highlight societal problems.  She is the captain of the Field Hockey team, earning  Mid-Penn All Conference Honors in 2016 and is a member of Central Penn Elite, a club field hockey team. She also is an assistant field hockey coach for a youth league and is a member of the basketball team.  Elizabeth  will be continuing her studies at a four year college to study occupational therapy.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Sarah Smith as the September Student of the Month.  She is  a senior at Carlisle High School and the daughter of Tony and Stephanie Smith of Carlisle.  She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.
Sarah  has participated in her school's musicals and select choral groups. She is a member of the Students for Christ club and a member of the mini-THON committee. Her extracurricular activities include dancing with the Carlisle Dance club, taking private voice lessons and participating in the ministry team of her youth group. She has volunteered at Project Share and taken mission trips to Guatemala and the Dominican Republic with her church. She plans to attend college in the fall majoring in education.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Bailey Lehman as the May Student of the Month.  She is  a senior at Big Spring High School and the daughter of Doug and Staci Lehman of Carlisle.  She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.
Bailey serves as Student Council President, a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.  She is the captain of the Field Hockey team, earning  Mid-Penn First Team All Star honors, and a member of both the Swim Team, qualifying for states her senior year, and Track and Field teams. She is also the Planning Co-leader of the Mini-THON, which this year raised over $53,000 for the Four Diamonds Fund.  
Bailey is a youth field hockey coach, a Senior Citizens Activity Volunteer and a certified Life Guard. She was awarded the Cumberland Valley Swimming Officials' Sportsmanship Award. She will be continuing her studies and playing field hockey at Albright College in the fall.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Janel Hicks as the April Student ofthe Month.  She is  a senior at Boiling Springs High School and the daughter of Tony and Jane Hicks of Carlisle.  She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.
Janel is a member of the volleyball and track & field teams and serves as manager of the boys basketball team. She is a member of the Rotary Interact Club, the National Honor Society, the Photography Club, the Drama Club, the SADD Club and she participates in the Mini-THON. She is also a member of the Chorus and participates in the Spring Musicals.
Janel is active in her church, the Evangelical Free Church, and has taken part in several mission trips including a planned trip to Guatemala this summer. She will be attending Gordon College in the fall where she will be a student/athlete member of the volleyball team.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Grace Echevarria as the March Student of the Month.  She is  a senior at Carlisle High School and the daughter of Laurie and Mike Echevarria of Carlisle.  She received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both her school and community.
Grace is a member of Student Class Council since her sophomore year and currently serves as Secretary.   She is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and the  French National Honor Society, serving as President this year. She is also a member of the Model UN, a Peer Tutor at the High School Writing Center, an Elementary School Tutor and participates in the annual Mini THON fundraiser to combat cancer.
Grace is a member of the High School Tennis team and a Big Brother/Big Sister since 2013. She serves on the Cumberland/Perry Drug & Alcohol Commission Youth Advisory Board & Leadership Team and is a member of the Substance Abuse and Prevention Coalition. She is active in the United Way Leadership Council, the Salvation Army, Project Share and the Relay for Life. She also participated in the Rotary Youth Leadership Conference at Messiah College. Miss Echevarria will be continuing her studies at West Point Academy.

The Rotary Club of Carlisle recently honored Ethan Greve as the February Student of the Month.  He is  a senior at Big Spring High School and is in the top 10% of his class.  He received this recognition for exhibiting outstanding leadership, service, and scholastic achievement to both his school and community.
Ethan is a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. He participated in the Harrisburg Community College Cohort program and attended the 'Ole Miss Summer College Program for high school students. He is an avid off-road dirt bike racer and has achieved a high level of success, winning several awards. He plans to attend college at 'Ole Miss or Auburn majoring in mechanical engineering.
